I quite liked the first few books in the series. I read them while I was in university, and snapped up the newest ones as soon as they were published.

My patience with the author reached its end when I read the book that was fully three inches thick, and comprised of about one day (albeit spread out over four or five storylines). It was too slow, and the author's misogyny was far, far too obvious (ie, the only way the author knows how to portray a strong woman is one who flies off the handle into irrational rages for the smallest infraction).
