Regret watching the trailer to World War Z. It's obvious very quickly that this is not based on the book for which it's named. It's yet another zombie movie that needed a recognizable title. I have to wonder, after seeing the trailer, if the screenwriters ever even read the book. So much potential to make a great, low cost zombie movie.

Just watched a car plow across the snow over the divider strip, and spin to a stop with one wheel in the left side break down lane of the opposing traffic. He was very lucky. Lots of traffic was going against him this morning, another two feet and it wouldn't end well.

Today I realized that Axolotls are really aquatic Nightfuries.

I'm starting to understand the allure of Twitter and why it has resulted in the loss of quality posts, or any posts at all really, on LJ. It's designed to be fast and easy, with a quick turnaround for responses. Returning to the topic of a previous post, a coworker is upgrading his phone shortly and will give me his if I don't have another solution soon. It's running Gingerbread (2.3) which means that it is compatible with all the programs that I want to run on it, the only downside is it's a cdma cell (Verizon) so using the 3g isn't really an option.
