I live in a backwards state. So much for freedom of choice and the pursuit of happiness. I bet if most of the people had it their way here they'd love to see a constitutional amendment banning interracial marriages. They'd consider that traditional too

That House race was followed by our media due to Heath Shuler's ties to Knoxville. I'm glad he won, he replaced a six-time Republican incumbent didn't he? Seems like North Carolinians have some sense.
