On Friday I lost my ID card. I don't know how it happened. I had it and a ten dollar bill in my pocket. Somewhere between showing it to the guy at the door at Launchpad and getting home, it disappeared. I still have the ten dollars though. I spent it at the fair yesterday.
Other than that and one other thing, it would have been a great week.
I had a creepy dream last night (this is not the one other thing btw). It was another baby dream. I noticed I keep dreaming about having kids, and usually the kid dies when it's about a year old. This dream was different. The child (a boy, we named him Vincent) was very smart, and very powerful, and very evil. At the same time this other kid was born to someone else, three minutes after Vincent. But this one was very smart, and very powerful, and very good. I can't remember how we knew all this (me and my husband, and the nameless couple with the other child), we just knew.
The dream was sort of composed of various times when Vincent demonstrated his power. I can't remember all of them but the last one was when he was about five and was going to get hit by a truck, and he blasted it away using telekinesis. Then he went into a coma... it had been too much power used all at once. On our way home from the hospital, somehow the good kid was in our back seat. This was the first time we had seen him since he was a baby, and he was sitting there, grinning and asking us why we hadn't killed Vincent yet. I woke up hoping it was morning because I didn't want to go back to that dream. It was still dark out and I couldn't sleep very well for the rest of the night.
Looking back on the dream, I now realize that maybe it was Vincent who was good and the other one was evil. Vincent had never used his power except in self defense, he was a good kid and we loved him. The extent of his evilness seemed to be an emotional coldness, he was very quiet, never lost his temper, never showed affection. The other child (who was nameless like his parents) desperately wanted us to kill Vincent and his parents had completely disappeared after he didn't need them anymore. The little "good" kid was certainly creepy.
