She had wanted to wait until everyone was asleep. She didn't want to face Kenshin at the moment. What she had said to the shadow was true - she would never abandon him - but she just didn't know how to face him after all the things her shadow had said. Both indecent and worrisome. She didn't want to think about anything anymore, which was why she had gone to practice at the dojo.
She was very thankful for having learned about it.
Sneaking quietly into the apartment she made a bee-line for the couch. She really had to get those books out of the apartment before someone actually looked for them. Even if it wasn't the thing on her mind, she could distract herself from that name for a little by concentrating on this. That name that now seemed to haunt her. Tomoe.
