Something I'm frequently tempted to do is to stop in at the Miriam Switching Post. They always have something there that wasn't there before. Once upon a time I purchased a dresser there, but I've not since removed the tag that prevented others from buying the same one before I could find a large vehicle and pick it up. Although I took this picture with my own camera, it contains the trademark of a company. They'd probably get mad at me (and sue) if I print off copies of this picture and slapped them on the side of a product. (Furthermore, if they didn't sue, they could lose their trademark--even if it's a suit they ended up losing.) However, I hope they don't ( Read more... )

I've posted so many pictures of various construction goings-on already, but if there are two things that you can count on the school to be doing, it's planting flowers and building something new. Another crane...or, well...maybe it's the same crane? Still, it's another picture of the day.

Almost all the new buildings on campus have a very similar architectural style. Yet over in the art school, they did things completely differently. I really only have occasion to visit this section when looking for books of historical photographs of the city. I recently received a fancy card with some Latin text on it. It reminds me of New Orleans because that city has plaques all around it that hyphenate the word Luisiana to wrap it to two lines. Although it was nice of them to make the coins "golden" to make them more distinguishable from quarters, putting George Washington's face on the front sure didn't help. Two dollars and two quarters appear in the picture of the day.
