Well, I love knitting and animals. The natural animal to have would perhaps be sheep, but don't they look rather boring? Doesn't LLAMA have more of a ring to it? And isn't alpaca yarn the most softest and coziest

Sheep are very boring indeed, so Alpacas are obviously the natural choice!

The lace making looks very complicated, tho I'd imagine it's the kind of thing that once you got the hang of would be very relaxing to lose yourself in doing.

Lace is fascinating, if you ever want a trip to Spain you'd probably enjoy visiting the tiny village of Almagro, where in the evenings just about every woman in the town (it seems) over the age of about 25 makes lace in a similar way (although it really is tiny, and a day is long enough to see it all).

Oh, and Wensleydale sheep (from, erm, Wensleydale, where there's a good cheese too) aren't boring (they even look a bit like llamas).

Okay, that's rather cool sheep, I'll give you that. They're like RASTA-SHEEP!

And the lace making definitely looks similar. It seems many countries have these lace making centres, in France it's Le Puy I think.
