so my boyfriend is in arrowhead working on his next novel aka his grad school thesis. he comes back sunday but will only be here a week. then he's staying up there for about a month and only coming back down for specific events and food. it's silly but the longest we've been apart for almost a year is like four or five days and we're still less ( Read more... )

Could you tell me more about your boyfriend's novel? I don't know any one who's written a novel before, or even any one who knows someone that wrote one, I think, until now. Writer's block is a bitch. Character development, locking conflicts, all that sheisse.

his first novel was kind of a sci/fi thing. i'm not sure becuase i haven't read it. his second novel which is going to be the first of a series of novels focuses on a character struggling to come to terms with his depression and being half filipino and half white. the first novel creates some clarity for the main character and the novel he's writing right now is the character dealing with muddled clarity and trying to figure out life. its hard for me to explain books, but hopefully that gave you an idea. if u need more clarification, lemme know. =)
