I absolutely hate it when a promise can't be fulfilled, no matter how good the reason is. Especially if you worked hard and were looking forward to your well-deserved reward.
But I also hate being frustrated and giving up on something I was supposed to get so I would definitely fight for the other half. Especially if we're talking about food ;)
