I picked up this book yesterday too (along with the Sonic, Darkwing Duck/Rescue Rangers, and Thor/Captain America ones), and squeed like a fangirl with what I saw.
Everyone who's downloading the book (or got it yesterday and missed it), when you get to Aqualad's introspective panel, look down...yeah, right at the very bottom of the panel, with the TV.
HE'S COMICS CANON. Let the fandom rejoice! *cackles*
I actually picked up my own free copy from Free Comicbook day! (What an awesome holiday! My local comic book store had a huge BBQ for the event)
Did you catch that really interesting tidbit in Wally's dream flashback? He KNOWS Robin's secret identity! They CONFIRMED it! Hell, apparently he's known since before Artemis showed up (probably before they even created YJ I bet).
I'm not surprised at all given how close they are. And I agree with you, those YJ comics are worth the $2.99. Superboy makes so much more sense now (seriously, I'd hate monkeys too if they exploded out of a giant present and attacked me.)
