Except that it's not really BioWare at all. It's "
BioWare Victory", which is just some new, generic division of EA* with the "BioWare" name slapped on it, which apparently has nothing whatsoever to do with the
actual BioWare aside from both of them being owned by EA. As such, it seems appropriate that they're making a sequel to a
generic RTS game with the "Command & Conquer" name slapped on it, which had nothing whatsoever to do with the
actual Command & Conquer games aside from both of them being RTS games. This was done explicitly for the purpose of causing what has happened to happen, i.e. all of these game sites
producing headlines about how "BioWare is making a new C&C game" even though that's not really the case at all.
Look, I'm not saying that this game is going to be bad. It may very well be awesome. (EDIT)
Okay, now I am most definitely saying that this game is going to be terribad. (/EDIT) All I'm saying is that this is a "Command & Conquer" game in name only, made by a group who is "BioWare" in name only. I'm not going to be getting too overly excited for this, at least not until I hear more about it.
* - Apparently made from the leftovers of
EA Los Angeles, from what I can tell. EA LA was the group responsible for making the previous C&C games (at least the ones made after EA butchered the original Westwood into non-existence). Now they're making Medal of Honor games. Go figure.
