Yeah, I read about that happening recently. Never bothered predicting that since I never gave Apple a chance to begin with - I always avoided itunes and ipods/iphones/ieverythings.

But.

This certainly means no mac in the future for me. I could imagine a time when Apple forces all their products onto all paid-for macs. Heck, would probably be shoved out with every OS update. (Microsoft is showing the world how much people are willing to tolerate with Windows 10 after all.)

I can't see myself missing apple products either. I mean... I've gotten along -just- fine without them. And the alternatives leave enough money in the pocket to actually buy something else.

And this just re-affirms my determination not to touch itunes for purchasing music. So if any indie musicians (mainly vocaloid artists) want my cash, they'd best stick to bandcamp and the like.

Regarding your note...

So yeah, basically, it looks like I was right when I said the thing about how the "paid" versions essentially wouldn't be any different from the "free" version (which won't be "free" for much longer!) as far as still having the forced, unwanted bullshit being dictated to end users by Micro$hit ( ... )
