Columbia Interview!?!?!

So. I just received an e-mail from a Mr. Van Gothner. He is a Columbia alum from the class of 1980 who majored in economics and political science and wants me to contact him about setting up an interview. Advice - relaxxxx. The more you work yourself up, the more likely you are to mess up. Be yourself. Bring up some of your weaknesses and give reasons for them (I talked a lot about how I had a hard year last year, etc... and the woman at Trinity said it was good of me to bring up weaknesses like that because then Admssions has an explanation for them and doesn't just assume I 100% slacked off or whatever). Emphasize your strengths. Show them what an amazing person Tim Kane is and how he deserves to go to their school. :)

Also.. if you're able to do an interview at an easier college first, that wouldn't be a bad idea. My first interview went really well, but my second one (Trinity!) was definitely a lot better because I knew what to expect and what to talk about.

I did like six interviews.. so I can def tell you some stuff to expect.
