your awe inspiring search for the truth, however flawed it may be, has left me feeling enlightened to your heightened level of doucheness

Islamic countries have not "fallen behind" the rest of the world. That is uninformed more than not speaking Arabic. The whole world is not the Western/Euro/English Speaking/basically the US world. Take a look at Asia, or Africa for that matter. Many Islamic countries are doing quite well in the "catogories that matter," especially compared the the REAL state of the rest of the world. Ease up on the generalizations, and stop discounting the ignored populations of countries like Burma, DR of the Congo, Uganda...

Asia and Africa, where the Suddan's and Indonesias are rising to the top of the international scene. Of course, there are exceptions such as Malaysia, but such places are exceptions not the rule. But most Islamic nations suffer from corrupt leadership. What once where centers for learning and education are now fundamentalist strongholds with leaders kept in power by continually blaming the West.

Note: Burma no longer is a place. Myanmar is, but not Burma.

Most NATIONS have corrupt leadership, because their systems of government do not have our safeholds (yes, I love the US system of government, I think it's relatively sound).

This is true but remember that in the West, it is tradition to compare yourself to the best, not the worst, of the world. I would point out that in Iran, women aren't allowed to go to Azadi (freedom) stadium in Tehran. The people want to be free. However, radical islam won't allow it.
