Cindy the SRNA - Week 11
I of course have a countdown until the end of this rotation. VB has made it quite clear that I am not really wanted here any longer. They changed the access cards and won't give one to me or the other 2 girls (who are stuck here for another 12 months). They blocked my computer from internet access (what, no p0rns? NOOOO!!!!!). And now they're knocking down my little creepy house to build a parking lot. Yup. Definitely not wanted.
I'm glad to go, though.
Had a good week. Finally got permission to do peds and I get 2 days in and all the peds surgeons are "LOL, BYE BITCH! IMMA ON VAYCAY!!" Just my luck.... But the 2 peds days were good. Some of the little tater tots (one was a 6 month old!) were sooo cute! I found my suppressed maternal urges resurfacing.... Got to work w/ one of my fav docs, the one who uses all diff meds.
Other than that, nothing really went on this week, anesthesia~wise.
Family~wise is another story. Mom is racing off to Germany for 10 days w/ her bf so he can see his family. The kidney cancer may or may not have spread to his lungs (or started there...). We shall find out in the next day or so. Family friend got arrested this weekend (again) for drinking in public. Yay... GMa is doing God-knows-what. But she did agree to a Will and Power of Attorney this week. And maybe changing her house to my mom's name. We shall see. My cuz wants me to come to his place this weekend. His wife, who I really like, has been rather sick (I think she has lupus, actually...) and her docs are dicking around (like my GMa's...). Love them but don't really want to go. I hate not being able to go home in b/w VB weeks. Miss my kitty. :( Oh well.
