B-day thoughts and Clinical Weeks 20-25
Another year older.... According to Facebook, I'm turning 60, LOL WTF.
Thanksgiving was kind of hard. Grandma and Harald both gone made it empty. It was strange seeing us all fit around the table. I think we were all trying to be extra cheerful and not really talk about it.
It's hard knowing they're not going to be here and eat Jasmine-decorated chocolate ice cream cake with me today.
Present~wise, I got a Kindle and I'm pretty psyched about that! I have waaay too many books and really need to condense. Plus, now I don't need to wait for paperbacks to come out! *woot*
Aside from that, another year closer to being done with this skool bullshit. I was stunned to realize "skool-graduation" is in May, which is like, what, 6 months? Then we're done-done in August and have "real-graduation" in September. I can't believe I'm already in my 3rd rotation. At Mt Shitney now. Hated Shitney at first, but now it's really growing on me. Laggy went over ok. Laggy is a terrible place to learn (don't want to do shit) and a great place to work (you'll get to do anything, after 5pm, that is...), while Shitney is a great place to learn (wow, they'll do anything!) and a terrible place to work (CRNAs are all but banished to endo)
Plan for the day was go see Tangled, eat cake and hit a comedy club. My cousins are sticking around and a family friend had a heart attack recently, so it's been modified - visit her, see Unstoppable (see Tangled tomorrow), eat cake and go to the comedy club. Looking forward to some laughter. :)
