One Of My Favorite Cadences

Cadences that we sang when we were marching constantly back in boot camp are sometimes forgotten once you've graduated. However, this one cadence has always stuck with me throughout the years I've been in the Army. I sing it in my head or softly to myself even when I'm here in Iraq. I like the "My girl's a vegetable" one, but it's no longer appropriate to say ;)

I also did the 1908's song "Walk the Dinosaur" to both quicktime AND doubletime.

A former warrant officer who is my roommate in OCS also does some great running cadences.

Hmm... I still find myself singing "Navy Navy I'm in doubt" from time time. As far as "My Girl" goes, come on guys.... have we gone so far toward the nanny feel good state that we can't sing fun running cadences anymore.
