hmmm.. Al Gore... isn't he the guy that said he invented the internet? :P

I just wonder if most people can grasp the concept the movie is talking about, I'm not too hopeful about that because if they could, more would be being done by now. Wonder how much delay there is between the cause [ CO2 ] and the effect [ global warming ]. Hope it shows near here soon. I think that ice core data is from the AntArtic drill site which went down a couple of miles into the ice cap.

I think he did get a lot of heat for that comment, although I remember something about it being taken out of context. He's also the man who won the popular vote for president in 2000. Since that unjust defeat, he's been out of the spotlight completely, no longer interested in politics, just touring the world with his climate change presentation, trying to convince people that global warming is THE biggest problem facing the world and humanity today, and doing it in a way that I think is very understandable and convincing to the average person. People don't understand not because it's a hard concept, but because it's hard to swallow, to take responsibility for. Those in power do not want them to understand, and for every voice they hear that warns of global warming there is another voice (or many other voices) paid to say the opposite. It's not so hard to shirk responsibility when you can point to some recent story on Fox news that casts doubt on the whole concept.
