Astute observer will notice that many of that kanji for 1kyuu recently have been body parts and many of them have included the 月 radical. If you are thinking that this radical represents つき (moon), you might be confused why body part kanji tend to have this radical.
The fact is that this radical is not really 月, but rather is a simplification of 肉 (にく: meat, flesh), explaining its use in body part kanji.
Yes please! I know very little about radicals other than basic ones like for water, person and er, something else, so help in this area would be greatly appreciated! :)
