[ There's something wrong about this image, when it turns on -- or rather, is knocked on, knocked over to be a little more specific. Peter's eyes, which are usually brown, have turned a milky white, and his attention is directed at a painting -- it appears he seems to have knocked on his Hitomi while he was reaching for more paint. His arm moves

On the assumption this guy might be as close-mouthed about it all as the other was, Matt starts out with the message set to private.]
Did you find her?

Yeah.
[ Peter says, nodding a bit. ]
Thanks.
[ For caring enough to ask. ]

[He hesitates, because he doesn't want to blab about the other guy's powers, when it was obviously something he didn't want people knowing. Then he decides it was deduce-able from this guy's reaction that the painting hadn't happened yet.]
Did you know in time to stop it?

[ Claire is safe next door, for the time being. Peter intends on keeping it that way. ]

[Oh, Matt knows it's bad out there, but you can explain away isolated incidents, especially when they're not really random. There's a stupidly optimistic part of him that wants to believe Kannagara would do better than his world, when faced with a choice between what's easy and what's right.]
I'm Matt, by the way.
[He's seen this guy around online, most memorably getting infuriated over the slave trade. Matt figures it's only polite to introduce himself before he gets into questions about the painting-the-future stuff.]

[ Peter hasn't really seen this guy around, but then again he hasn't been on the network as much lately -- especially with Claire arriving and then that whole weird body-switch thing with Gai and Yamamoto. ]
I dunno if it's fair to say who they really are. Right now they just look like a bunch of weird dudes in capes.
[ Which is a pretty accurate assessment -- hooded cloaks, darkened faces. It's impossible to tell if they're Celestials or Yomites. ]
They might be the same people that arrested Lelouch.

[Matt only knows Lelouch in passing, and was pissed and disbelieving at hearing his broadcast, but not personally affected the way so many other people were. He figures it's best to stay out of this one. Too many rescuers would be as bad as too few, a logistical nightmare.]
Forming our own village is starting to sound like a damn good idea.

[ Forming a village that is. That really is starting to sound like a great idea. ]
Though I bet once we did that, they'd just nuke us or something.

[Matt thinks the so-called gods might consider that cheating, if they cared at all. They went to the trouble of creating their local population and dragging people into it from other worlds. Kinda seems like the idea might be to learn to get along.
Assuming they're rational, which Matt doesn't really.]
