Of all the voices she could hear here, it had to be Peter. She supposes it could be worse, it could be someone like Gabriel (Sylar, she has to remember, he's Sylar now) but as it was, Peter definitely wasn't on her list of people she wanted to see.
Was she bitter at him for what he did, tricking her, playing with her emotions? A little bit. But more, she was bitter with herself for falling for it. She should have known better.
Trusting people's never gotten her very far in life. All they do is let you down.
But she's known what it's like to be imprisoned even before this. She had been practically a prisoner within the Company. But she wasn't about to tell Peter of all people that.]

[ Peter's tone is bitter, the syllables cutting off sharp. He knows that he probably shouldn't be wasting his time doing this when he could be focusing his energy on finding Claire instead. But the knowledge that this woman is in the world now is enough to infuriate, because Ricky will never have justice and Elle probably doesn't give a shit anyway. ]

[She missed when he eagerly took the medicine, when he seemed to almost enjoy her company. Now everything seem tainted and ugly. He lied to her. Just like everyone else, and now he was trying to make her feel bad about herself when she suddenly showed up in another world and got imprisoned.

[ Peter knew Elle was fucked up; he felt sorry for her, even, but this is unforgivable. This is not something he can just let go of. He was kind of hoping that maybe if she just showed some real fucking remorse, a shred of humanity, that maybe he might be able to look within himself and find some way of -- well, he didn't know what, really. But this just throws everything right out the window, anything he might have been remotely hoping for at all. ]

I don't know, I seem to manage it just fine though. [Her voice is defensive. Maybe, just maybe, Peter's words are getting to her more than she'd like to admit.
She liked him better when he lied, when he pretended to like her. The real Peter kind of sucked.]
