But she opts against sending him a video. Her face is still bruised and cut, her eyes are still puffy, and her arm is still broken and in a sling. She hates people seeing her like this.]

Or I did, before they came along and cancelled them out - or whatever it is they do to people with powers. They came back whenever they did their experiments.

I can use my doors when I'm a certain range away from them; I haven't tried my other power yet. [Hasn't had the chance is more like it; there aren't many minds she feels up to invading at the moment.]
But I'm still hurt. I don't know if that's them messing with my powers or not, because I haven't been hurt like this in a long time. It's probably not, though.
But when you get close; they're gone. You won't be able to rely on them in this fight.
[She pauses.]
I suggest a really big knife. [It's what she'll be going with, after all.]
[It's slightly reassuring to know powers aren't totally out of the question, though Matt doesn't know yet if that'll be enough for them to be useful to anyone. Luckily, a lot of his friends are daunting enough just as they are.]

[Officially agitated with all the questions - especially ones she doesn't have an answer to - Road switches on the video, holding the Hitomi away to show off just how bad she looks at the moment. A healing black eye, several cuts and bruises visible on her face and arms, and her left arm is in a makeshift sling.

[A sigh, and she switches back to just voice as she calms down. It's not his fault this happened, and she needs to remember that. It would just help if Tyki or the Earl were there to help her get these people back for what they did.]

Yeah yeah. Obviously I don't want pity. [It's not said meanly, more matter-of-factly. She doesn't want it. It won't heal her face, it won't mend her arm, and it won't deliver justice to these people.
[She receives them and nods to herself, conjuring her door just behind her and opening it, stepping through.
A few moments later, the door reappears in front of Matt's house, and Road steps out, somewhat nervous about being out in the open in Yomisato with her door for everyone to see. The door itself disappears, and she makes her way over to Matt's front door and knocks.]

[That's... worrying. A lot of Matt's initial plan was to charge right in as a dragon or tiger, but that's looking like it's off the table.
And it was kind of a crappy plan, anyway.]
