[ Juudai, for once, doesn't have his Hitomi on him; it's lying off to one side of the small mattress he's currently occupying. Juudai is in fact asleep right now - or just was, anyway, because the sound of voices has begun to trickle into his awareness from the other side of the room, and he rolls over, only half-awake, hand already moving in the direction of his deck, which is a few feet away on the floor.

Slurred: ]

W'zat?

[In a very lemming-like motion, all eight heads on the other side of the room turn in Juudai's direction when he starts stirring. Johan speaks quietly across the gap after a moment.]

--Haa, sorry, did I wake you up?

[ Juudai rolls over and cracks an eye open. One, two, three - seven Crystal Beasts and one Johan, check. So he's awake. ]

No, s'okay. [ He murmurs this, sits up and crosses his feet underneath him. ] Something going on?

[ Even half-asleep, Juudai can sense when Johan is avoiding something. ]

You sure? [ Juudai looks over the whole family of Crystal Beasts - all seven out in the middle of the night? They look a little concerned, too, but none of them try to give Juudai a more meaningful look than "oh yeah, no, go back to sleep, by all means..." ] I mean...

Hey, it was just a dream. I'd have a lot bigger of a problem if it were real, right? Don't worry about it.

[He flashes Juudai his best nothing-happening grin, despite it being tinged with middle-of-the-night exhaustion, and lays his head back down on Amethyst Cat. Mmmm, nothing like purring to lull one back to sleep...]

[ He'd protest, but Juudai is suddenly yawning very widely. Yeah, bed has begun to look really good... ]

Okay, then. [ Juudai rolls back in the other direction, and is asleep again within seconds. ]

[ Upon waking up, Juudai checks his Hitomi to see if he'd missed anything in the previous night. Couple network posts, a dream, and -

Suddenly, Juudai recalls last night's conversation. Johan had had a dream, so this dream is -

Furtively glancing at Johan's still-sleeping form, Juudai hits play. ]

[ After watching, he turns back and frowns (thought without any real heat) at his friend. No big deal, huh?

Johan is already stirring in the strips of light coming through the window, so Juudai waits until his eyes flutter open, and casually says: ]

Man, I hated that guy, too.

[It takes Johan a minute to register exactly what Juudai's talking about, since... y'know, he's still got a little bit of fog in his head from being groggy. But then it all filters out, and he looks just a LITTLE put on the spot when it occurs to him -- dammit.]

Uh...

[All he can do after that is just grin extra sheepishly at Juudai and rub the back of his head.]

...Yeah. Don't think I've ever had a dream about him, though.

[ Juudai grimaces - he should have warned him. ] Anyway, I'm sorry I didn't tell you last night about these things showing our dreams. I was a little groggy. [ He rubs his eyes and sighs. ] There's a lot of weird things here.

[Johan flops back onto the pillow lazily, in a very "but I don't wanna get up" motion.]

And nah, don't worry! I found out from someone else anyway. It was just a little surprising is all.

Yeah...

[ Juudai doesn't like it, this whole "dream-sharing" thing. At least, he doesn't like the idea that pretty soon, it's going to be his turn. And his dreams aren't exactly the kinds of things he wants out there in public. ]

Who'd you talk to about it? [ Well, just because he could check the Hitomi himself doesn't mean he'd rather do that than talk. ]
