[Mail's fascinated by this idea. The kid who calls himself Johan looks normal, but he has all these cool creatures!]

Everybody should have some kind of family, even if they're not parents like lots of people have. Right? Being related isn't necessary, is it?
[He grins sweetly, totally unaware of any remotely questionable things in his philosophy.]

He frowns thoughtfully at the question.]

[Johan tilts his head, then smiles, a little ruefully.]
Oh... I know what you mean. I have to move around a lot, too. But it's okay, because I have my real family with me, always!
...But you gotta have somebody, don't you? Even if it's just a really close friend? Maybe they can be your friend and your family, too!

[He has to think again. He's always been so aware of not being the real kid that he's never really thought about family being anything other than your mom and dad, or sisters and brothers, if you're lucky enough to have any.]

[Cards are held in front of the camera. The illustrations, of course, are exactly like those of the creatures behind him. Johan grins proudly.]
They're all my friends and my family at the same time. So I bet you could have something like that, too! If somebody feels like family to you, they probably are, even if you're not related. If you have a friend who feels like a brother, then they must be your brother! A spirit brother!

Umm, I dunno! Normally they're just cards, and the spirits live in them, I guess. But maybe they could do that. I've never tried it!

[In his normal voice again.] I would totally try that! Magic things're always bigger on the inside than they look, y'know.
