[That makes him pause. He can't help but wonder if the natives are getting restless again. The nomads haven't been giving him any trouble, but they are kind of outsiders themselves--maybe they're not as xenophobic as some of the others.]

Well, Raikou had a dream that Iruka - you remember him? he had a ponytail? - had been taken to Yomi and was in trouble, so he sent out a call over the network for help assaulting the place. A lot of us pitched in to help. I got a nasty cut up the arm and a few people got about the same, but thankfully no one was seriously hurt.

Raikou didn't find Iruka, though. [ Juudai looks more somber at that. ] Either he really is gone and it was a trick, or... I don't know.

[He grunts, relieved that no one was more hurt. He'd head that from Fai, but it was nice to hear it from someone else, too.] Yeah, I remember Iruka.

[A slight pause, then he looks away slightly.] ...at least no one else was too badly hurt.

I've been traveling with the nomads. Learning about the plants that grow here, how to make medicines from them. Most of them are what I'm used to, though there have been a few surprises.

Yeah. They seem more welcoming to otherworlders than most of the people here, maybe because they're a kind of outsider themselves.

[He nods at Juudai's guess.] Yeah, close enough. And they're pretty similar to a nomadic people in my world, actually.

I see some mushi around every once in a while, but so far, I haven't seen any that don't glow, like you said.

[Maybe they can relax their guard. It's been... well, at least a few months, so maybe... but it's probably better they don't.]
