[The first thing anyone holding the hitomi will see is a flutter of a cape, from a man turning in surprise. You see, his world has just changed
( Read more... )
[ The sword, the armor, and the fact that this guy doesn't seem to know how the Hitomi works has led Juudai to believe this guy isn't from a world that's developed this level of technology quite yet. Hopefully he'll figure it out enough to access this message. ]
Hello? Hey, if you get this, you're not alone. This probably isn't the world you're used to, but there are a lot of us here all in the same boat.
[Fortunately for Juudai, he's figuring this thing out with some speed, and so the device turns back on to reveal him fairly quickly.]
What world is this?
[He doesn't sound particularly worried about being in a different world (he's not, he's done this before), only interested in knowing what world this one is.]
Harmony lesson... [Filing that one away for later consideration. Returns his gaze to the screen in time to hear the next question...oh boy.]
...I am called the Warrior of Light. My world... [hesitation. World B isn't his. But then, what world is his?] ...I have come from a world of conflict.
- The Warrior of Light, you said? [ Wow, is it just you, or does Juudai suddenly look really uncomfortable? ] Uh, what was, uh... what kind of conflict?
[ Calm down, Juudai. He's probably from an entirely different world. It might not even be the same Light. Humans generally like "light" as a thing anyway, right? It doesn't have to be the Light of Ruin. The conflict could be completely unrelated...
But Juudai remembers a week spent walking in a fever-dream, remembers Manjoume and Asuka's eyes like burnt-out matches, and his hands tremble slightly as he sends this. ]
[Slight headtilt of confusion, then a guarded (lack of) expression on his face. Yuki looks quite agitated at his title, and at mention of conflict...so, it is possible that he is aligned with forces such as Chaos', and thus he needs to be cautious.]
[ That's not the Light of Ruin's M.O. Not in the least. Although he didn't tell Juudai his name, this guy seems like a good person. Juudai's gut says so. ]
My world is sometimes attacked by this force called the Light of Ruin. It's destroyed and annihilated other worlds as well. I was worried... - but anyway, it looks like we're talking about two different things.
[Muted as his expressions are, something like repulsion crosses his face for a moment--then vanishes in consideration. He has seen the Light of Judgment, and that even the King of Hell could make himself look as an angel. But...]
That is a perversion of what the light should be. I would have nothing to do with it.
Yeah, it's... [ An expression crosses his face, somewhere in between distaste and disquiet. ] It's the enemy of all life. To any kind of being, intelligent or not, living or not. It exists to destroy.
[ That kind of went to a dark place. ...Oh man, that pun was bad even for him. ]
A-anyway. So you work for this goddess of harmony?
[He looks momentarily, slightly intrigued--that description of the Light of Ruin matches what he knows of the Cloud of Darkness. But--there are other things that take priority here.]
[Nod.] I was her warrior, her soldier, along with my comrades.

It's called Kannagara. A lot of us have been brought here from other worlds.
My name's Yuki Juudai. [ A welcoming smile. ] Once you get used to it here, it's not so bad.

Why are we brought here?

So what's your name? What's your world like? [ Nothing like a little small talk to get an idea of someone's personality, right? ]

A war between gods.

[ Pause. Maybe he's attacking from the wrong angle. ] How'd you get a title like "the Warrior of Light?"

The god of discord and the goddess of harmony.
[Yes he thinks that is a sufficient answer for now. Yes he is avoiding the question about his name or lack thereof.]

So, not the Light...

[ Juudai's trying to think of a way to tactfully ask the Warrior of Light if he has a real name... ]
