⑧ jitter cam (VIDEO;; week 31, day 5)
[ The camera clicks on almost violently. It constantly shakes throughout. The shot is a muddled mess of green and black blurs, though at times when it steadies, one can tell it's daylight. Then, the camera whips towards a large dark object, showing nothing for a few moments before zooming back out. ]
- Dammit -
[ It's Juudai's voice. He sounds strained. That and the continuous rising motion of the shot makes it clear what must be happening - he's climbing a tree with the Hitomi in hand. The camera turns towards him. He's found a larger branch to settle on for a moment. ]
Didn't know we had this kind of wildli - aah!
[ He ducks a sudden flash - was that a green fireball? - and the Hitomi drops a long ways to the ground, facing upward. A red blob in the trees above is all that can be seen of him. Distantly, one can make out his voice: ]
Don't suppose you little freaks can duel, can you? [ He is answered by another hissing blast of green fire. It seems to come from just out of shot. Little sounds can be heard, like a number of small footsteps. Whatever is attacking Juudai is near the Hitomi, but not in range of the camera. ] I didn't think so. [ A movement of his arm - ] Neos! A little help!
[ A flash, and this guy appears, hovering in the air.
A pause, and then - though he says nothing - Neos cants his head towards Juudai in a very obvious posture:
Really? ]
Hey, don't look at me like tha - look out -
[ Another flash of green fire, accompanied, this time, by a loud screeching sound. Chaos erupts as Juudai seems to fall out of the tree, and a horde of - what are they? - shapes stampede over the Hitomi, too fast and badly lit to have a good look beyond an impression of claws and... feathers?
Until one last straggler comes into shot. ]
[ A massive black beak, feathers as red as hellfire, and two beady orange eyes filled with hate.
It opens its maw. ]
BUCK-KAW!!!!!
[ The feed cuts.]
[ ooc: Juudai won't reply to tags until after he has escaped the horde. For obvious reasons. ]
