Summary: After having cooled down a bit, Johan decides to make another attempt at getting answers from Yubel. This will obviously end well.
He'd asked the Crystal Beasts for their counsel at first, but no amount of telling him he shouldn't do it, should just let sleeping dogs lie could give Johan any comfort this time. At first, he'd wanted to go to Kaiser and talk with him about it, but decided it might not be that productive; he wasn't exactly the go-to-for-advice sort of person, under any circumstances. Not solicitous in the least. And Asuka, even though she was a better option for seeking comfort... he could've gone to her to try and talk his feelings out, true. He had considered it heavily for a while.
But then he decided he was going to get the answers straight from the horse's mouth, that whining to his friends wouldn't help a damn thing. It wasn't really any of Asuka or Kaiser's business, anyway, and talking to them about it would be like shifting the weight of his problems onto them. At least with the Crystal Beasts, they were involved with it because of what Yubel had done to them, and how they were so closely bound to him, sworn to protect him from all harm no matter what. They already knew what was going on, and he'd had a long, hard look at them, at their cards, before making the decision.
His footsteps were too loud and heavy for his liking as he walked down the hall. Without even knocking, he opened the door to Juudai's room and entered, closing it behind him slowly and leaning on it casually with his arms crossed, as though he were talking to Juudai himself. As though there had been no friction between them whatsoever, and the last gasps of his yelling at her didn't still linger in the air.
"Yubel," he said levelly, "tell me why you're here. I want the full story this time."
