[ Week 17, Day 1 | Video ]
[ Peter is angry, eyes dark and flashing as he comes on screen, looking furious as he addresses the camera. His hair has been growing in the time that he's gotten here, and it isn't quite long enough to fall over his eyes just yet. A deep furrow is drawn between his eyebrows.
Raising up the paper -- one of the many that has been circulated in the villages, Peter crumples it with one hand. ]
We need to do something. We can't just watch and let this happen. I know some of you are probably thinking that it's not our problem, especially with all the racism and discrimination we've been putting up with. Yesterday, I watched one of us get thrown out of a restaurant and had his money stolen... and these people are treating us like we're... like we're monsters.
But this is worse. Human beings are being... [ Peter's face grows very tense with something like horror. ] sold. Like they're property. Even women and children.
[ The video is shaking a little -- Peter realizes that it's his hand, gripping the Hitomi too tightly. He takes in a slow breath, and then lets it out. ]
But we can't just... walk into this and save them. We need some kind of a -- a strategy, or something. A plan.
[ Because if they're not careful, they can end up making things worse for themselves. ]
