[At first, the Hitomi's camera does not film a person, but... an animal.
Or is it an animal? It's an eagle, but it has a sort of armor encrusted by bluish gems on its chest, and gems of the same deep blue on the joints of its wings.
But then it's a totally different story when the eagle turns its head and opens its beak to talk.]
Johan, don't fool around with that thing. You know what you have to do.
[Shaky camera is go! The frame pans down from the eagle perched on the branch of the enormous tree to capture the forms of a couple other large creatures for a brief moment -- among them seem to be a cat, a tiger, a tortoise, a mammoth, and a pegasus, all decorated with specific gemstones. It then turns to show a human face.]
--Ah, right! I just wasn't sure if it was working or not!
[He grins and thumbs-up at the herd of creatures offscreen, and then directs his attention to the feed fully.]
I'm not really sure what this thing is supposed to be for, but if anyone's on the other end, I was wondering -- why are we in an alternate dimension? I thought once was enough... but at least we have resources this time.
[A cute little purple carbuncle climbs up Johan's shoulder and starts sticking her nose in the camera mischievously with a "rubibiii?" He uses the back of his hand to gently nudge her away.]
Hey, Ruby, you can inspect it when I'm done! Anyway, I was just wondering if whoever's here knew anything about this place? It sure isn't the desert, and I've only seen animals here, no Duel Monster spirits or anything. And it's definitely not where I was, either.
[Another voice speaks up, a deeper, more masculine one. Coming from another one of the beasts, presumably.]
Forgetting something?

Hah, how could I forget something like that? If the monsters are real here... can I grab someone to duel so my family and I can go home? This place is nice and everything, but I don't think we should stay too long. So if anybody can spare some time to duel me, that'd be great!
...And, haha, sorry! Name's Johan Andersen! I'd appreciate anything anyone can tell me about this.
