END OF SEPTEMBER "TONIGHT WE'RE GOING TO PARTY LIKE IT'S MEDIEVAL JAPAN" OPEN LOG EXTRAVAGANZA
Afternoon, Kannagarians. Due to the influx of amazing new people, and our deep love of horrible shenanigans, we have decided that it is once again time for a ginormous open log, a la the picnic log which many of you may recall from a few months ago.
Starting on Week 12, Day 5 (that's Saturday-Monday), there will be a matsuri (that's basically a Japanese festival) held in the streets of Hisato. It is not only for residents of Hisato, however - anyone in the world of Kannagara can have heard of it in some way, and almost certainly will have, if they have even the slightest contact with the native residents of Kannagara. At some point you'll have seen signs advertising it, or had some resident of some village (Yomisato included) come up and tell you about this totally awesome festival, all for you.
As is generally the case with matsuri, this one will have booths lining the streets, selling anything and everything from foodstuffs (fried everything) to good luck charms to funny souvenirs to actual practical stuff like clothing. Unlike your average matsuri, however, where the price of yakitori is like three times as much as you could just go down the street and get*, going up to any vendor in the city on this day and flashing your Hitomi will result in the amazing ability to get people to just give you stuff for free. That's because the purpose of this festival is for the natives of Kannagara to extend welcome to the strange newcomers.
Everyone in the game is invited to this event - attendance is not mandatory but those of you who do remember the picnic log are aware that generally speaking these things are the best ever, and therefore it is highly recommended that you show up.
The master post for this event will go up on Saturday. It is basically just going to be a description of the setting - from there, you can post having your character loiter/lurk/run around shoving free food into their face, and other characters can reply to them from there. Our goal here is to create new CR - if you can't normally think of a reason for your character to interact with someone, just have them randomly run into each other! As with the picnic post, this will likely lead to a great deal of chaos and time paradoxes and other weirdness. You guys have free reign to go nuts here, so have at it.
