Matt heads out to meet his double, and he's still sort of fuming after talking with Mello about Yagami. Which is why he's chainsmoking, and has an extra pack in his vest. Maybe a version of him who can put up with the blond bastard enough to actually date him can give him some useful advice.
Serve him right if another Mello showed up, he thinks as he stalks along. Not the center of the fucking universe after all, are you?
He takes a minute to be glad that both versions of himself he's talked to are pretty easygoing. When they're not freaking out. Remembering that is enough to chase away some of the sour mood Matt's in. He still wants a drink.
