It takes the rest of day and a little bit of the night to find Hisato. Distance seems to work so weird here, and it took Marco hours to demorph several times so he could counsel the Hitomi and see the map and morph again. (You can't exactly use the thing with your talons.) Morphing is also exhausting, and after several tries Marco decides to sleep through the night and start again.
His sleep was far from restful.
When morning came, he morphs back to osprey again and looks for Hisato once more. Finally, he finds some sort of defined path and follows it, eventually finding Hitsato, which even despite the path, it takes a while to find because it was so centered in a valley it was hard to find from the air. It looks like a pretty impressive town. The architecture looks like those buildings in China or Japan he sees in his geography textbooks in school - the times that he was paying attention anyway, or even there at all.
Shame they probably don't have toilets.
So Marco surveys the city, notes some residences here and there on the streets. They look all human, which reminds Marco to be on high alert - any one of them could be Controllers.
The problem remains is how to address these people. He can't exactly swoop in, demorph, and then walk around and start asking questions. They probably know each other pretty well anyway, and would get suspicious. Or whatever counts as suspicious behavior is, anyway. No, the best option for Marco is to go back at the gates, demorph, enter and then start asking around. Barefooted. While wearing only bike shorts.

Not exactly the best way to go, but Marco got nothing to go on, so he has no choice but to play it by ear.
So with a heavy sigh, Marco swoops out of the town's boundaries and demorphs into the bushes next to the path. Steps out on to the path, and walks toward the open gate, and hopes to God that nobody will notice his fashion sense.
