[Week 10, Day 1] Out Of All the Hours Thinking Somehow I've Lost My Mind

Aug 12, 2010 20:14

Who: Yoite, Lelouch, RaikouKitty
Where: Starts right outside Hisato
Status: Closed
Style : Prose
Warnings: angst? pink? dramatic-ness?
Summary: Lelouch to the rescue!

When Lelouch's last message had ended with the instruction to 'stay put,' Yoite had done just that, sitting down in the middle of a field with Hisato on the horizon behind him. Two katanas resting to one side of him, and a messenger bag stuffed full to bursting on the other, Yoite looked like he was trying to be a one-boy caravan. A few passersby had even mistaken him for a beggar and tried to hand him coins, but Yoite just continued staring forward deadened eyes, not eve looking at them, and kept staring emptily until they either dropped the coins near his feet, or continued on their way.

Yoite didn't see them. Didn't hear them.

And they didn't see him. Not really.

They were in a world completely separate from him, or rather they were in the world and he was not. Not like a living person would be. Yoite was inside himself, whoever that was, where Sora should have been and Yoite existed. There was blood inside. And corpses. And things he couldn't run from because they were lingering there in the corners of his mind and behind his pale eyelids and with every brush against his cheek, or every vaguely familiar scent they flared.

Recognizing things, people, or places was like a coin toss now...the effects of Kira still doing a number on his eggshell-frail mind.

But he had recognized Lelouch. He had remembered a sense of trust...

And he had Raikou with him...

And soon they would both be in the same spot.

And for that, Yoite could fight his hardest to hold off breaking for a little longer.
