Didn't mark my tenth Yuletide by defaulting

So my yuletide fic clocks in at about 9,000 words, and I can't really pretend I held myself to the "It only has to be 1,000 words, girl" thing. On the other hand, I haven't put my hand up for any pinch hits. So I kind of kept my resolution
