My nephew loves them too! I will probably love them as well. I'm very, very tactile, and if Ponyo takes after me.... We're planning to get the lot.

I have very little self control when it comes to buying books. :D I admire your restraint. I need to stop actively browsing for more before I finish more of the ones I have.

I get most of my books from the library these days and for me to drop money on anything exclusively e-pubbed, whether self or small press or big press, I have to either be familiar with the author or have people I trust tell me about the book (even if they didn't like the book--I've found plenty of interesting stuff from reviewers who didn't like a book just by what they said in the review.)

For instance, I loved Hugh Howey's Wool, but the reason I picked it up in the first place was due to the thread on MetaFilter about it and lots of longtime MeFi people liking it. (And I didn't buy it, my library bought the POD edition) I've bought other Howey books since reading it.
