Madam, you have certainly put into few but powerful and ever-so-dexterous words what I been trying to explain by thoughts and imaginery. My attempts were proving futile, though, I could not quite explain what I thought was really happening with Ciel and Sebastian in that particular moment. They were working both under a plot and a scheme, but I felt something was off and Ciel was oddly out of his depth.

This is a very amusing and cruel and perfect way to put it in perspective. It is my impression too, that while Ciel is aware that of course Sebastian is not really, truly dead, for Sebastian is a demon and Ciel is well aware of what demons are capable of. But still he feels shocked and caught off guard but the sudden and stabbing realization that Sebastian's human personification of "

Yesyesyes, exactly! I still can't decide if Ciel knows everything about this little play but even if he does, he was really believable in that outburst of emotions. A little toobelievable! I wonder why he kept shouting 'That's an order!'... If it's just to make sure that everyone around believes that he's just had his heart broken, why would he choose to repeat that? Wouldn't it have been better to say stuff like 'Don't leave' etc. ? (oh wait, he did say that ♥) It's not all that normal to order your servant back to life. BUT. Why the mysterious speech bubble?! Why did he pull out the pin? I'm so excited xd

Ohh and this is what I both fear and expect. Ciel's end will come about when he slips down the last inches into trickery and temptation. I suppose by that stage, he won't really resent his fall into

I firmly believe in providing great authors with great stories at least a modicum of the fangirlism they deserve.

This topic of whether Ciel believes or does not believe whether Sebastian is dead or just acting, has become a very interesting and long topic in the fandom!

I love the controversy, it brings about so many good discussions and...yes, well, fangirlism.

I think Ciel does know that they had to implement a plan -of course Ciel is the main plotter in this too- but I also think Sebastian's so gruesome and realistic and non-timed "death" took him by surprise in the emotions department

I agree completely, and I think that Ciel's in a dire need of some time to figure out his emotions (if that's even possible at this point). If they had indeed prepared a plan, I wonder if Ciel really planned ALL of his big act or he knew the outlines but once it really happened it struck this one particular place and then it all went to hell. Wait, I think I'm basically repeating your words. I need time to think about it more xd

The slap! At first I had this most ridiculous thought: Oh Ciel, you just wanted to smack him didn't you... But the slap seemed like a message to Sebastian and not anyone else. If Ciel wanted to show his sadness he wouldn't have had to slap a corpse, which is
