This is beautiful-- and there's not nearly enough fic about what Merry thinks or feels. The first line really drew me in as well; it's very striking. Since Merry does get compared to a doll so often, I wasn't sure whether this was referring to an actual doll or to her herself, and I liked the ambiguity.
Also, this line:
After all, what could have been seen from a particular point of view could be completely obscured from another one and so, no one would know. No one.
Thank you for commenting! I'm glad that you liked it :) I agree that Merry gets VERY left out and that is a bit strange considering the fact that she influences Cain a lot.
