OMG SNAKE! I love snakes! My wife doesn't though. Is he cute? Cute like a gecko? She wants a greyhound, but I think a snake would be less maintenance. ;-)
He's an albino California kingsnake, and quite cute. He's about 2 years old, and he's gotten quite long (about 3 feet or so). He's also an extremely enthusiastic eater.
If you want him and all his goodies (including a tank), he's yours. I'd love him to go to a good home!
He's not in that tank anymore, to be honest. I decided to sell it a while back because I needed the money. I've got him in a 20gal fish tank right that he seems to like just fine, though.
:)
He's a good boy though, only needs to eat about once a week. I've been lax in socializing him lately, so he's been a bit skittish, but a couple of weeks of consistent handling (about 10-15 minutes at a time a few times a week) should get him right back to super-friendly.
As tempted as I am to offer to take the little guy, I'm going to suggest you give Blue Ridge Pets a call. I think they've consolidated their stores down to a single shop in Belton, and I'm pretty sure I've seen them take in reptiles that need new homes. :)
Have you called any of the nature centers to see if they want him? Burr Oak Woods in Blue Springs or Lakeside Nature Center near the zoo are the two places I would start with.

He's beautiful! Pink and yellow?
(I say this knowing that the reality is I can't take him myself, but can pass the info on to local scouting organizations).
