Oi, at the time of posting, I had started part one, and I still felt like things could be resolved successfully. Now that I'm finished, it was on the absurd side of hilarious (or rather just absurd and completely not good for laughs). My final estimation of the book is that it is quite serious and tragic, although I cannot deny Kafka's deft comedy.

IDK what happened to my laptop, but all my personal settings & files just vanished except for all the programs that I downloaded (Skype, Mozilla, iTunes, etc.). It was weird. Maybe I should've pulled out the battery to stop it? The files may be accessible, but I just haven't had the opportunity to check. shrugs/

You know, I still can't help reading something everyday, but it's all been fanfic. And not even the good ones; most fall into the so-bad-it's-good category. Idk, maybe helpful in the long run for curing the fear of looking at own writing. Has yet to take effect, though.

BRING ME BACK TO GOOD LITERATURE, M'DEAR! That said, maybe I'll drop in the lib, get An Edible Woman, and then be your discussion buddy ;)

WHAT YOU NEED IS A CHART. IT'S VERY 'GIVE THAT GIRL A GOLD STAR LIKE.' It's a method that truly motivates me. Like, for 4 days I could not get passed paged 9 on APoaAaaYM, and then I was like, "I want to see movement on my chart," and I felt motivation course through my veins.

And ahhhhh!!!! 1/3 of The Edible Woman completely befuddled me. And I had the edition that asked discussion questions, and I was like, i-d-k shrug/

You definitely should read 100 Years of Solitude. It will change your life. It will change your language and concepts of time. My other two suggestions are Bartleby the Scrivener by Herman Melville (short, tragic look into human helplessness, and moving on) and Death Comes for the Archbishop by Willa Cather. Lady's prose is on point, very clean, austere, and unforgettable.

Ugh, I just noticed that the themes are death and loneliness. WHY AM I SO MORBID?

So sorry, I was busy....working. :D Actually ma cherie, I will have a response by next week. Which is super excited and when I called the lady I was like, "so that's it? That's like really it? It will really be over? And then I'll know? For sure? And so everything is completed...etc." lol, It's unbelievable ,so I'll def make a post when I know.
