Alright, so how has everyone been? How is the TT business going along? Drinking while writing? Being awesome all around?

Anyway, my condolences to your important junk. You don't have any back-up any where? :(
OMG, GO YOU! I haven't picked up a real book for ages. *needs to follow Kandy's example*

IDK what happened to my laptop, but all my personal settings & files just vanished except for all the programs that I downloaded (Skype, Mozilla, iTunes, etc.). It was weird. Maybe I should've pulled out the battery to stop it? The files may be accessible, but I just haven't had the opportunity to check. shrugs/
IF YOU WANT SOME SUGGESTIONS, I GOTCHU.

You know, I still can't help reading something everyday, but it's all been fanfic. And not even the good ones; most fall into the so-bad-it's-good category. Idk, maybe helpful in the long run for curing the fear of looking at own writing. Has yet to take effect, though.
BRING ME BACK TO GOOD LITERATURE, M'DEAR! That said, maybe I'll drop in the lib, get An Edible Woman, and then be your discussion buddy ;)

And ahhhhh!!!! 1/3 of The Edible Woman completely befuddled me. And I had the edition that asked discussion questions, and I was like, i-d-k shrug/
You definitely should read 100 Years of Solitude. It will change your life. It will change your language and concepts of time. My other two suggestions are Bartleby the Scrivener by Herman Melville (short, tragic look into human helplessness, and moving on) and Death Comes for the Archbishop by Willa Cather. Lady's prose is on point, very clean, austere, and unforgettable.
Ugh, I just noticed that the themes are death and loneliness. WHY AM I SO MORBID?

Love that you color-coded your to-read list, btw. Though I hope you don't let all that reading keep you from LJ and fandom for too long again... we've missed you! ;-)
