So I'm part of a Livejournal community called free_manga. Through it members can find new manga, and keep up with the scanlations of popular ones. I've found lots of new manga and am enjoying it greatly, but there's a price to be paid for all this. I found out what it was today

Strangely enough, most of the manga that I hear about seems to adhere to these sadistic themes (in one way or another). There's always some element of horrible, twisted tragedy that some either find intriguing, disturbing, or both. O_O
