About Heroes. Some few-weeks-old spoilers after the break.
Spoilers, I say!
A few weeks ago, as I was watching Heroes, I thought: so, Ted Sprague can emit radiation equivalent to what you get with nuclear reactions. High-energy EM radiation, neutrons, maybe alpha and beta particles, and other random fun particles. Later on in the show he is instructed to produce an EM pulse by "burning bright" rather than "burning hot." The result is a blue, rather than reddish orange glow emitting from his hands. Uh...well, let's ignore that particular bit of interesting physics and the possibility of intuiting the right sort of energy required for electronics-disrupting pulses (actually rather low energy, I'd assume...) .
What I was thinking was: exactly what sort of radiation can this guy control? He can create nuclear radiation, so there must be some non-EM stuff, I think. So maybe he controls the radiation of all sorts of particles. And what does this mean? Well, if gravitons exist, he should be able to emit them! Dude...control of gravity.
