Another component of this long period of office workers teleworking is: Employers have already adjusted their office capacities to these circumstances. Sometimes they don't even have any anymore, or only quite few.
Okay, for federal workers it might be different than the "free" market economy, as state institutions don't and can't work the same way private firms and companies.
But still it's a factor in the overall economy - which isn't very much spoken about, as far as I know.
