WHOOOO Taylor Swift concert was awesome! Even though we got pretty lousy seats that were really quite far away (can't see her face from the main stage), still enjoyed myself a lot jumping around and singing along to her songs! Heh! And that segment when she went to the small stage and played more intimately was a great surprise and very amazing!
I kinda guessed the correct starting song "Sparks Fly" yay :D And even though the people at our block were generally not very high, I just threw my dignity to the wind and jumped to like almost every song and sung/shouted loudly (quite out of tune I'm afraid) to every song! WHOOO! :D
I swear I almost cried when she did "Back to December", and I would have if she'd continued playing with only the piano and violin but then the electric guitars came in and it became not as emotional anymore. Oh wells. And the background pictures for her songs were so beautiful! It was really like entering a magical scene.
The setlist in its entirety:
1. Sparks Fly
2. Mine
3. The Story of Us
4. Back to December mix with Apologize and Your Not Sorry
5. Better Than Revenge
6. Speak Now
7. Fearless (the acoustic version mixed with I'm yours)
8. Fifteen
9. You Belong with Me
10. Dear John
11. Enchanted
12. Long Live
13. Love Story
The mash-ups were very nice too! Especially Fearless + I'm Yours on the Ukulele. Wah that was very awesome and special!
This is what Taylor Swift tweeted about Singapore/the concert:
THAT SHOW RULED!! Thank you Singapore. My band and I love you. And your dancing and jumping and singing and screaming! Good times.
Yay glad the crowd as good! :D
And this morning I woke up at 4:40am to get to the airport before 6am to try and catch her as she departs for South Korea. I didn't manage to see her though (her band distracted us as she slipped into the VIP entrance T_T), because I think they were rushing for time so she didn't come see us. D: But at least I took some pictures with the members of her band! (no autographs D: but someone got a pick D:)
From left: Amos Heller (bassist! whoo!) and Caitlin Evanson (violin and backing vocals) Haha that was quite awesome cos the bassist is always awesome and Caitlin is pretty too! :D And her violin performance last night was fantastic! Absolutely beautiful! :D
That's Grant Mickelson, her lead guitarist! :D Yay he had some nice guitar riffs and solos last night too! (:
Alright all in all I guess it wasn't THAT great because I didn't get to see Taylor Swift up close at all D: but the concert was really magical and heh meeting her band was rather awesome as well! :D I will update once I get the pics/vids from Para (:
