Aragaki Yui is a shy Okinawan girl who dreams of becoming a great Architect just like her father. To pursue this dream, she convinced her father to let her go in Tokyo to learn and study about Japanese and modern architecture.
Yamashita Tomohisa, fondly called “Yamapi” by his friends, is an easy-going son of a wealthy and accomplished Architect in Tokyo. He loves telling (lame) funny jokes and stories and as a result managed to attain the title of being the “class clown”.
Nishikido Ryo is the gentle and kind friend of Tomohisa. A senior engineering student, he dreams of one day putting up his own firm. He was some sort of a big brother figure to Tomohisa (even when they are of the same age), always looking up to his friend and trying to keep him out of trouble. He is secretly in love with their other friend, Erika.
Toda Erika is an outgoing and trendy childhood friend of Tomohisa and Ryo. A sophomore fashion design student - enjoys dressing up and designing bags. When she sees Yui, she decided she had finally found a model for her creations and does her best to build the shy Okinawan girl’s confidence. She is secretly in love with her childhood friend Tomohisa but decided to keep it to herself since she can see that her friend was interested in another.
