awesome picture though. and a totally surreal time and place in world history. even weirder when you consider that for the most part, Japan KNEW going in to the war that they had about a two-week time frame in which they could actually accomplish anything before all hell would break loose, and if they exceeded that time frame, well, they were done for. yet they still kept going.

i went to the cherry blossom festival on saturday in japan town. almost everyone there was white. cosplayers and stands giving out sake to all ages. that was one helluva day.
