Heh, whoever h4xx0rd my credit card tried to open an Amazon account with it. Amazon apparently monitors these things, recognised the card as mine, and cancelled their orders and then closed their account. Never mind that the card itself is invalid as of Wednesday when I called it in. Have fun with that closed account, bucko ( Read more... )

I like the bit about the closed account, but it appears the money fairies have not been kind to you lately. I'd dust off the old card in the short run.

Have a great time in Finland and take many pics.

Thankfully I have a few months to make sure things are straightened out for that trip.

Capital One has a mileage card of their own I'm considering which is actually better than my current one. 1.25 miles per dollar, yes please!

That's really fucked up about the TMJ. I think that in general, the distinction between "dental" and "medical" is ridiculous.

speaking of capital one- as long as you can pay off the balance (they have high interest, i think), it's AWESOME. I've redeemed SO many flights with my points, and it's so easy to redeem. Plus, you can put your own photo on your card (capital one card lab- I have a pic of ghost on mine : ) But yeah! I've had good experience with them

speaking of TMJ; so many of my friends have bad TMJ. I was tested for it, since my jaw is sore a lot, and I know i grind my teeth/ clench at night (and sometimes catch myself clenching during the day), but they said I didn't have it. (we also thought it might be triggering my migraines). But yeah- SO stupid that they're not treating it. Whatever happened to preventative medicine!?

Call ahead to let Crapital one know you are using it overseas and make sure it works if you havn't before. I've heard of folks getting overseas and finding out that their card doesnt work.
