Name: Kisarazu Ryou
Age: 23
Part: Ryou manages the Cat’s Eye, a local CD shop/club/live venue while attending university.

Appearance:
Ryou is on the petite side with a height of 5’5, a trait he shares with his twin and one he hates with a passion when teased about his lack of height or muscle. Pale skinned with long raven locks cascading to just below his shoulders, he is often mistaken for a girl, until he speaks. No one could mistake his voice for that of a girl, despite the very effeminate look of his face and slender body, and if that isn’t enough to convince most people he’s a guy then he has no qualms in going that extra measure to get his point across.

While he tends to wear a lot of black and crimson leather, coupled with shining metal during working hours, he is most often seen dressed casually in his downtime. Ryou prefers denim over dress pants, t-shirts over the buttoned monstrosities that make him feel like he’s choking, and a comfortable pair of sneakers over the heavy weight of boots or confining dress shoes. In fact, if he could get away with it he would probably go barefoot year round, or tromp about in a pair of flip-flops or sandals.

The one vanity he possesses is the wealth of hair he sports, which despite massive teasing throughout his childhood and teenaged years has never been cut beyond the trimming of dead ends as needed. He loves his hair so much that he’s been known to lavish it with attention, even going to great lengths to assure its continued good health by spending ungodly amounts at salons for its care. This obsession with his luscious locks has been the catalyst for many an altercation, because no one but no one touches his hair!

Well, no one but Atsushi, that is.

Personality: While Ryou is, at times, nearly as introvert as his twin, he goes to great extremes to overcome his almost compulsive desire to keep people at arm’s length by surrounding himself with friends, as long as they don’t trespass in his personal space, unless invited. Quick to smile and laugh, he is often at the heart of any trouble brewing, much to his brother’s dismay as usually he drags Atsushi into the thick of things when his twin least expects it, thanks to a driving need to include his twin in any fun he is having.

There are many words one could use to describe him, but none fit Ryou better than impulsive and impudent, especially when his temper is on the verge of being lost. It takes a lot to get him going, but once his restraints fall away there is little he won’t do or say to lash out at the person responsible for ripping his shields away. This especially holds true when it comes to his twin being hurt whether by word or deed. Highly protective, he watches over his younger brother with an eagle eye, though it is rare that he steps in to interfere with Atsushi’s business, unless it involves dragging his brother’s nose out of whichever book he’s currently enthralled by and forcing him out into the land of the living for a few hours.

While his twin’s devious streak is skillfully hidden beneath an aloof exterior appearing emotionless to most, Ryou’s isn’t so carefully concealed. He prefers being flamboyantly obvious with his antics when teasing others. The better to blindside them with truly devilish pranks when he masterminds something BIG! Those that fall victim to his manipulations would never suspect sneakiness from this particular twin, making it easier to throw them into a tailspin when he determinedly sets out to cause trouble or to retaliate for whatever slight he feels he has been dealt.

Highly competitive, especially when it comes to his twin, Ryou never backs down from a challenge, no matter who utters it. However; the likelihood of him putting his all into a friendly competition increases threefold, if it is Atsushi he’s going up against. And, although, he may appear to argue unceasingly with his brother there is no one he loves more, so for those unwary souls that take it upon themselves to attack one brother it is a united front they’ll be met with.

Ryou will always stand undivided with his twin when it matters the most and even when it doesn’t. After all, if he doesn’t support his little brother then who will?

History:
If the worlds created between the pages of a book is what holds his twin’s undivided attention then it must be said that those same worlds coming alive on the big screen is the key to catching and holding Kisarazu Ryou’s attention. Ryou has always been easily drawn into watching movies, no matter their age. From old black and whites to today’s modern marvels, he loves them all. There isn’t a genre or time period that doesn’t hold some sort of fascination for the grey-eyed producer in training that spends his days alternating between working at the Cat’s Eye and attending classes at his choice of universities. Determined to someday light up the screen with his own memorable creations, Ryou doggedly chased after his dream of becoming a producer of films by pursuing a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree.

At least, it was this love of films that started it all and sent him winging his way from Japan to the wilds (and, boy was it wild!) of Hollywood where he spent quite some time studying as an exchange student in America during his teenage years. Leaving behind all that he loved took a lot of courage for the closet introvert, especially when he knew he couldn’t drag his twin along as he was wont to do. However; as apprehensive as he was about leaving his home behind he was equally as excited, something never more apparent than when he called home to regale his brother with tales of his adventures in the places he visited and the people he met.

Soon, Ryou found himself being drawn deeper and deeper into a culture that was once such a shock to his system, leaving him with habits that his mother despairs of when she comes face-to-face with the evidence of his stay in the foreign country that she claims has forever ruined her child. Warped beyond redemption in her eyes, her eldest son often elicits ongoing lectures about traditions and proper behavior that more often than not are met with a roll of his eyes and silent endurance of the verbal lashings he receives with each visit home or unexpected call from the matron of the Kisarazu family.

If asked, Ryou would say he was warped long before he stepped foot in America. After all, it was his love of questionable music and his wild ways that influenced his staid twin and drew him out of his shell long enough to send Atsushi down a spiraling descent into depravity and sin. Or so his mother tells him again and again when she’s reminded of the path her youngest has taken in regards to his ‘foolish’ choice of jobs and even more ‘foolhardy’ foray into the entertainment industry, all of which she feels Ryou is in some way either directly or indirectly responsible for.

Not that he lets her lectures get to him, because he doesn’t. Impudent in the extreme, he is immensely proud of the fact that he may have had some influence on his twin as they grew into the men that they are. But if it can be said that he, somehow, led Atsushi down the path he has taken then it also can be said that his mirror image has lured Ryou into following him to some degree, because now at the age of twenty-three it isn’t just movies he longs to produce but music videos that portray his twin at his best.

Someday, it won’t be just his movies that hold people enthralled in wide-eyed wonder but videos of his brother’s band and the magic of their music that even he finds himself drawn to.

Kisarazu Ryou stopped on a dime when he entered the CD shop a few seconds later, his feet suddenly filled with lead when stormy eyes already in the process of seeking out his brother landed on the scene he walked in on. “Would you two get a room?!” he demanded once the shock wore off, his gaze narrowing on the two presenting him with such a questionable image. From his point of view, standing as he was, it looked as if Kurobane was kissing his brother! Seriously? In plain view of the public? Had Atsushi been stolen by aliens?

Kissing his brother….

Hell, it really did look like it, didn’t it, he mused as he did a double take. Again, Ryou let grey eyes roam over the scene, taking in the way Bane draped over the counter his twin sat behind, and how a head full of dark spikes nestled so close to his brother’s. That was one very fine ass on display with faded denim stretched taut over toned cheeks, but it wasn’t that drool-worthy sight that kept his gaze riveted. No, it was his curiosity, his need to know, if his twin was, indeed, in the process of being kissed senseless. And, if that was the case, was Atsushi participating?
