THAANK you for the encouragement guys!!! :)
You are all very sweet. :)
Nevertheless, I must be honest and say that I although the decision has been taken, there is still SO many questions.
* hang head *
For example, I dont know which program or organization to volunteer for. I originally thought of the Peace Corp, but after talking to a few people that actually went it became quite evident that its very disorganized. That they just send you and expect you to somehow get projects working and even if you do manage they dont give you much support afterward either. So I decided to look into programs like World Teach, which is basically you going to teach somewhere. Which sounds good to me, the major problem being that I want to go to Africa and their only program there is the most expensive because you have to pay out of pocket 6000 dollars. When you look at it in the grand scheme of things its not THhhat much because it includes airfare and housing and food for a whole year. Nevertheless... I dont know if I can save that much AND save extra to leave in the bank to pay my loans etc. So then I found the United Nations Volunteer Program which sounds awesome because they pay for your airfare there and back and they give you about 2600 dollars as an initial "reward" and then 100 a month that you there. And I think they take care of room and board. SOOO That is what I am leaning most towards BUT as I mentioned I think its amazing how life sometimes puts more opportunities in your path if you just look. I know sounds very new age-y but... Its TRUE!!! ;) In the last 2 weeks or so I have been meeting people that talk to me about more programs or give me awesome tips or people I already knew suddenly tell me of all these programs they volunteered for. It is awesome :D MAybe someone reading this will also give me more advice !!!??? * looks around * UUUUuuu psycho kitty!!
