It really seems like we couldn't have enough stories reminding us of hubris. But it seems like people today don't believe such stories, because it seems like unimaginable hubris these days always seems to work in one's favor. There seems to be no reckoning. The old myths ring hollow, so we put them aside.

But the reckoning has always been with us, and in many cases it had been us. We have lost so much without knowing it. We need to wake up to what we have lost, and what we can restore, and we need to wake up the others too. I'll help you do that, and I know you'll help me.

"It seems like unimaginable hubris these days always seems to work in one's favor." Yes. And people somehow forget that corporations don't exist to serve them but to maximize profit.

Did you see the study that found that successful CEOs are those without moral principles or compassion? Our culture is a breeding-ground for sociopaths, I sometimes think . . .
